What you seek

When you look for things to complain about, you’ll find plenty. When you look for things to be joyful about, you’ll also find plenty.

So what kind of world do you wish to live in? Do you prefer to live in a world full of annoyance and frustration, or would you rather live in a world filled with opportunities for joy?

You can choose the quality of your world by choosing your focus. You can choose the quality of your life by choosing what you seek.

Seek to be a true, sincere friend, and you’ll find that you have many good friends. Seek to provide real, honest, creative value and you’ll experience much meaningful value flowing into your life.

Whether you realize it or not, whether you like it or not, you are highly effective at achieving the goals that most intensely occupy your awareness. So what exactly are the things that most intensely and most frequently fill your awareness?

Your attitude in every moment defines what you are seeking. And what you seek, is what you get.

Ralph Marston

YAY! YAY! YAY! I finally finished my project for my Trends class! Last week we had a field trip at the Glendale Galleria for our project. We had to go into a store that we liked &see how they sold their merchandise, how they arranged their displays and what kind of elements attracted customers to go into their store. I chose Victoria’s Secret! Only because I wanted to add a pink boa and angel wings to this project ;) haha but the angel wings weren’t added because the ones I bought at Party City was crap! But I did get the pink boa! Yesterday, after class I decided to go into the Macy’s Plaza to check out if they had a Victoria’s Secret &they did! I didn’t check if they had one at the Glendale Galleria cuz before I was thinking of doing Tiffany, but I don’t even have any jewelry from them &weren’t very familiar with it so I just stuck with VS! So anyways, when I went into VS at the Macy’s Plaza, I secretly took pictures of their displays to add to my project! haha I felt bad so I asked if they had any brochures &they did but they were $3, ahhh so I just bought one &asked for a bag too lol I actually started this project last Thursday but only got done with the front &the left side of the panel then stopped cuz I ran out of ideas! I was so happy when I finished it! I amaze myself everytime I finish a project, I never realize how creative I can be :) I love what I do. It’s stressful &a lot of work but I really really do love it! I can’t wait to graduate &do this for a living &actually get paid for my creativity! :)

To be completely honest, ever since I moved to California &attended FIDM, I can’t help but feel like Lauren Conrad :) I wanna achieve what she’s achieved at such a young age! I wanna go above &beyond what my limits are! I wanna prove everyone wrong &make them see I can make it big! Sure Lauren wasn’t at FIDM for a long time but heck, she inspired me to fulfill my dreams! She got me inspired to go to FIDM, so thank you LC :) &now I feel like my theme song is Unwritten! haha this is a cheesy blog, yes, but everytime I go home from school, I can’t help but to be thankful for everything! I won’t ever ever get tired of saying how much I love FIDM! &for those wondering, my major is Visual Communications! Really amazing major, it pushes you to your limits &lets you explore your creativity to a whole new level! If you’re thinking of going to FIDM, don’t hesitate, just go for it! Take a leap of faith &trust it because honestly, I was doubting myself &almost didn’t go through! Thank goodness I had a strong support system of friends who pushed me to go through with it :) wouldn’t have done it without them!

“I wear this scarf today and feel a piece of Alexander with me. I wear it as a representation of the human struggle. The struggle between what makes us divine and perfect and what makes us human and frail. I wear it as a token from a friend I will no longer see or hear from again but a friend who I will never forget.” — Veronica Amarante of Best of PB Consignment
