Dress
First day of college at FIDM! Class went well. Color and Design Theory. Not too stressful. I’m supposed to read two chapters and start on my project on tints and shades before next Thursday. I feel like switching up my hair a lot. I’m bored. I want to dye it or get highlights, but yeeeah, I refuse to dye my chemically processed hair. Not worth it. I don’t have class tomorrow but I guess I have to go in to drop my Monday class, English Composition BECAUSE, I GOT A 4 on the AP Exam! :) Sorry, it’s gonna take me like a month to get over that fact. So basically my weekends are gonna be four days long. Too bad I have no one to kick it with here in L.A. Maybe I’ll go home a few times, what else? I can leave on Thursday afternoon, come back on Monday night.
I don’t really feel like walking around downtown L.A. alone at 3 AM, but I WILL see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at midnight. I’ll ask if any of my roommates want to go, if not I’m still going. It’s super close anyway. I’m buying my ticket online right now. :) Aaand, now it’s printing. Haha.
I’m just rambling. I’m looking forward to church in a few days. I don’t want to become like, too industry-obsessed-workaholic or totally focused on myself. I guess I’ll hop around from church to church until I find one I like where the people are nice, that’s not exclusively 78 year olds and maybe even has a couple cute Hispanic guys. ;) You know me. It’s getting there that’s the complicated part. I don’t want to take a bus only to find out I’ll still have to walk three fourths of a mile in church heels, ya know?
Speaking of which, I have yet to use my shiny new bus pass. I should try it out tomorrow, go to Taco Bell or something. Never done this before. Hope I don’t get lost/kidnapped/take the wrong bus/subway and end up in Glendale. It’s an adventure. -__- On the bright side, gas is like close to 5 dollars a gallon and traffic is just AWFUL here, so a car isn’t much more awesome. Ah well, the head of the Fashion Design department doesn’t have a car either and she’s lived here like 5 years.
Hm, if it wasn’t for my Black hair care products, (you know, Pantene “Relaxed and Natural” Conditioner, Olive Oil gel with the picture of the lady thinking she’s all that), all over the bathroom sink, my roommates might think for a second I was part Mexican by my food. TWO jars of salsa in the fridge, plus quesadillas, 8 tortillas, taquitos, big bag of tortilla chips in the cabinet… that burrito from Qdoba Mexican Grill I had for dinner last night. And I mentioned going to Taco Bell, didn’t I? Haha. Guess I’ll break the cycle with Mediterranean food tonight.
I just woke up from a glorious nap a while ago and about to do some homework for class before I forget. Well not forget, just lagg I guess.
My first week of school has been great so far after going to three classes this week. I have two more new ones I haven’t attended next Wednesday due to the fact that our quarter started this past Thursday. My journey at FIDM has started very well, actually better then I expected but yet this is only the beginning. Im glad to attend this school because of the sole fact that their education process so far has impressed me so much and also, I get to be in the city every time in class. Im only there 3 times a week but being there is the greatest feeling I could ever ask for. I thank God, my family, my friends, and my boyfriend for supporting me through this journey Im taking and its only going to get better and hardworking from here. So far my classes are amazing and the instructors are laid back but very pressing when it comes to the schoolwork so they can be you best friend as well as your instructor at the same time. They do it better then Ai-IE even though some instructors at Ai-IE are amazing. I guess I got the wrong ones through my journey at that school.
Well enough of my chitter chatter, Im going to continue doing my homework and focus on whatever I need to do. I work tomorrow night so Im glad Ill be away from the heat even thought the heat where I am is the bitch of the season. Hahaha!
